Global file search

It had been quite long ever since I started to look for some good search engines where I could get information easily and in very less time. I wanted to check out music which other people had linked on the web and also check out photographs which were so widely talked about.

One fine day my friend heard about my plight and suggested that I should look for file search engines or the ftp search engines as that will be the right place to find whatever I had been looking for.

The full form of FTP is File Transfer Protocol and basically it means that anyone who would like to share his files or folders with the rest of the world can do it if he can link up those files or folders with a good ftp search engine from where the others can access them.

One of the websites that my friend suggested is www.filestube.com. This is a ftp search engine and it has options for finding files with extensions .rar, mp3, mpeg, .avi etc. It helped me so much as now I can look only at the files that I want and I do not have to go to through the entire list of files that the website is linked to. It also means that I can have access to the files that have been created by others on their websites but they did not create the index file along with the directory. In the absence of the index file, the other files can be accessed by anyone from his/her browser and there is no privacy from any outsider for any of these files.

Another good global file search engine is www.globalfilesearch which reportedly has scanned 1798 computers and it maintains 142865361 files and 10832072 folders. It can give you results in as early as a few seconds.

www.google.com is one of the most visited websites in the world as it is an extremely fast and reliable web search engine and it also has the capacity to display files which are excel spreadsheets or the ones in pdf and zip formats etc. Apart from being a great file search engine, it also has features like the map or the calculator etc.

Before I had discovered all these search engines, any kind of file search or any ftp find seemed to be very difficult and time consuming, but now it is so convenient and fast. There is one more website, www.filewatcher.com which has very good search options and it gives you the flexibility to either write the name of the file or write the type of the file such as .rpm or .deb. This website also has a feature called the advanced search for files with extensions like .deb and even lftp. The other options of search available here are the content search and the directory search. Be it music or be it photographs, now I can access them all with the help of these file search engines and the ftp search engines.
